To start the Toro 30123 mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the throttle to the 'fast' position, engage the choke if the engine is cold, and pull the starter rope.
Toro recommends using SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F.
Blades should be sharpened after approximately 25 hours of use or if you notice the grass is being torn rather than cut.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, verify the air filter is not clogged, and make sure the engine is not flooded.
Ensure the blades are sharp, the deck is clean, and the mower is set to the correct cutting height for your grass type.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug using a spark plug wrench, and install a new spark plug, ensuring it's tightened securely.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose engine mounting bolts, or a damaged blade. Check and fix these components to reduce vibration.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and move them to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Before storing, clean the mower, change the oil, empty the fuel tank, remove the spark plug, and store it in a dry place.
To clean the cutting deck, ensure the engine is off, tilt the mower safely, and use a hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. Avoid using a pressure washer.
