To start the Toro 30106 Mower, ensure that the fuel valve is open, the choke is engaged, and the throttle is set to the 'Start' position. Then, pull the starter cord firmly.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. Also, ensure the safety key is inserted properly.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours or at the start of each mowing season.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height.
Inspect the blade for dullness or damage. Sharpen or replace the blade as necessary, ensuring it is balanced and properly tightened.
After use, disconnect the spark plug wire and use a hose to wash off grass clippings and debris. Avoid water contact with the engine. Dry the mower thoroughly.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Ensure the fuel contains no more than 10% ethanol.
Ensure the tires are properly inflated and adjust the cutting height to avoid scalping. Mow at a slower speed for better control.
Check for a loose or unbalanced blade and tighten it if necessary. Inspect for debris lodged in the cutting deck and clear it out.
Before storing, run the engine to use up all fuel in the system. Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery if applicable. Store in a dry place.
