To start the Toro 3 HP 58432 Edger, ensure the fuel tank is filled, set the choke, hold the safety handle, and pull the starter cord briskly.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each season.
Check if the drive belt is intact and properly tensioned. Inspect the blade for obstructions and ensure the blade engagement lever is activated.
Disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, then use a wrench to remove the blade bolt and replace the blade. Ensure it's securely fastened before reconnecting the spark plug wire.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged blade, loose parts, or debris caught in the blade area. Inspect the edger and tighten or replace any damaged components.
Drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the edger thoroughly, and store it in a dry place. Consider adding a fuel stabilizer if you leave fuel in the tank.
Regularly clean the air filter, ensure the blade is sharp, and perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and spark plug replacements.
Check for stale fuel, clean the air filter, inspect the spark plug, and ensure the choke is properly set. Adjust any settings as needed.
Adjust the cutting depth by loosening the adjustment lever or knob, setting the desired depth, and then tightening it to secure the setting.
