To start the Toro 24-inch SP 25037 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the spark plug is connected, and the throttle is in the 'start' position. Pull the starter rope briskly.
Check if the fuel is fresh and the tank is filled. Ensure the spark plug is clean and connected. Verify that the air filter is clean and not clogged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 25 hours or once per mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for best performance.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position for your preferred cutting height.
Inspect the blade for damage or dullness. Sharpen or replace the blade if necessary. Also, ensure the blade is securely tightened.
After use, let the mower cool down. Use a brush or compressed air to remove grass clippings from the deck and engine area. Avoid using water directly on the engine.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil before each use, cleaning the air filter every 25 hours, and sharpening the blade as needed. Perform a comprehensive inspection annually.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new one with the same specifications. Reconnect the wire securely.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade or loose components. Check and balance the blade, and tighten any loose bolts or nuts.
For winter storage, drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and store it in a dry, covered area away from direct sunlight.
