To start the mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Press the primer bulb three times, pull the starter handle briskly, and release it slowly.
Check for fuel and oil levels. Ensure the spark plug is connected and clean. Inspect the air filter for blockage and clean or replace if necessary.
Regularly inspect the blade for wear and damage. Sharpen it every 25 hours of use or more frequently if needed. Always disconnect the spark plug wire before performing maintenance.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ensuring all wheels are set at the same height for an even cut.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then once every 50 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged blade or loose parts. Inspect the blade for damage and tighten any loose bolts or screws.
After each use, use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings from the deck. Ensure the mower is turned off and the spark plug wire is disconnected before cleaning.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using fuel with more than 10% ethanol content.
Check if the blade is dull or damaged and sharpen or replace it as necessary. Ensure the cutting height is set appropriately for the lawn conditions.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting and sharpening the blade, and checking for loose or damaged parts.
