Ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Check the oil and fuel levels. Pull the starter handle briskly until the engine starts.
Check the fuel tank for gasoline, inspect the spark plug for wear, and ensure the air filter is not clogged. Replace parts as necessary.
Regularly check and replace the oil, clean or replace the air filter, inspect the blade for sharpness, and check the tires for proper inflation.
Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F. For temperatures below 32°F, use SAE 10W-30.
Locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and set them to the desired cutting height position.
Check if the blade is dull or damaged and replace it if necessary. Ensure that the wheels are set at the same height level.
Disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, tilt the mower on its side, and use a garden hose or scraper to remove grass clippings and debris.
Drain the fuel tank, remove the battery, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, cool place.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old spark plug, and install a new one with the same specifications.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a bent blade, loose engine mounting bolts, or debris under the mower. Inspect and repair as needed.
