To start the Toro 21-inch HP 16575 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'choke', and the safety bar is engaged. Then, pull the starter cord firmly.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the air filter is clean. Also, make sure the safety bar is engaged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then after every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of use. Clean it with soapy water if it's dirty and replace it if it's damaged.
Remove the blade by loosening the bolt that holds it in place. Use a file or a grinder to sharpen the blade, ensuring it's balanced before reattaching.
Excessive vibration may indicate that the blade is unbalanced, bent, or loose. Check the blade and secure it properly, replace if necessary.
Before storing, run the engine until it stops from lack of fuel, change the oil, clean the mower, and store it in a dry, covered area.
If the mower is not cutting evenly, check the blade for sharpness and balance. Also, ensure that the wheels are set to the same height.
