Toro 21-inch 26683 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro 21-inch 26683 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is in the "Fast" position, and the safety key is inserted. Pull the starter handle smoothly to initiate the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify that the safety key is in place. If it still doesn't start, inspect the air filter and clean or replace it if necessary.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then at least once every mowing season or every 50 hours of operation, whichever comes first.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Ensure the blade is sharp and balanced. Regularly clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup. Adjust the cutting height based on grass conditions.
After use, allow the mower to cool and then use a hose to rinse the deck from underneath. Avoid spraying water directly on the engine. Dry the mower thoroughly before storage.
Check for a bent or unbalanced blade. Inspect for debris caught in the blade area. Tighten any loose components and ensure the blade is properly installed.
Clean the mower thoroughly, remove the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the blade for sharpness, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are tight.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
