To start the Toro 21-inch 26634 mower, ensure the machine is on a flat surface and the fuel tank is filled. Engage the parking brake, set the throttle to 'Fast', and pull the starter handle firmly.
The Toro 21-inch 26634 mower requires SAE 30 oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F. For temperatures below 32°F, use SAE 5W-30.
It is recommended to sharpen the mower blade after every 25 hours of use or at the beginning of each mowing season to ensure a clean cut.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level, spark plug connection, and air filter for blockages. Ensure the safety switch is engaged and the throttle is set correctly.
To adjust the cutting height, use the height adjustment lever located near each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
After use, turn off the mower and disconnect the spark plug. Use a garden hose to rinse the underside of the mower deck, avoiding direct water contact with the engine. Allow it to dry before storing.
Regularly check and change the engine oil, replace the air filter annually, and inspect the spark plug. Ensure all moving parts are lubricated and free of debris.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new plug that matches the recommended specifications. Reattach the spark plug wire securely.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade or loose components. Ensure the blade is properly balanced and securely attached. Check for any loose bolts or parts and tighten as necessary.
To store the mower for the winter, clean the exterior, empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, and remove the battery if applicable. Store in a dry, sheltered area to prevent rust and corrosion.
