To start the Toro 21-inch 26633 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the throttle to the 'choke' position if the engine is cold, pull the starter rope, and then adjust the throttle to the desired speed.
Perform maintenance every 25 hours of use or annually. This includes changing the oil, cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, and sharpening the blade.
Check that there is enough fuel in the tank, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, verify that the air filter is clean, and make sure the fuel valve is open.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using fuel with more than 10% ethanol.
To replace the blade, disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, tip the mower onto its side, use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, replace the blade, and tighten the bolt securely.
Ensure the blade is sharp and not damaged, check that the deck is clean and free of debris, and confirm that you're mowing at the correct height setting for the grass type.
Check for a damaged or unbalanced blade, ensure all bolts and nuts are tight, and inspect for debris lodged in the mower deck.
Adjust the cutting height to a higher setting, mow in a different pattern to avoid scalping, and ensure the wheels are properly inflated and in good condition.
Allow the engine to cool, then use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings from the deck. Avoid spraying water directly on the engine. Dry the mower completely before storage.
Always wear protective eyewear and sturdy shoes, keep bystanders away, never refuel when the engine is hot, and ensure all safety guards are in place before mowing.
