To start your Toro 21-inch 26631BC Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to the 'fast' position, and the safety handle is squeezed. Then, pull the starter rope briskly.
Check if there is enough fuel in the tank, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and ensure the air filter is clean. Also, verify the safety handle is fully squeezed and try again.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 25 hours or at least once a season. Always refer to your owner's manual for specific guidelines.
Ensure the blade is sharp and balanced, the deck is clean from debris, and you are mowing when the grass is dry. Also, maintain the correct mowing height for your grass type.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, tip the mower on its side, and use a garden hose to rinse away grass clippings and debris. Scrape off any stubborn residue with a plastic scraper.
Check for clogged air filters, inspect the fuel for contamination, and ensure the carburetor is clean. Also, check for any blockages in the fuel line.
Locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and move them to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for even cutting.
Disconnect the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old spark plug, and install a new spark plug. Reconnect the spark plug wire securely.
Drain the fuel, change the oil, clean the mower deck, sharpen the blade, and store the mower in a dry place. Remove the battery if applicable and check the air filter.
