To start the Toro 21-inch 26621 Mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the spark plug is connected, and the oil level is adequate. Then, press the primer bulb three times, pull the starter handle, and engage the engine control bar.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected and not dirty or damaged, and confirm that the air filter is clean. Additionally, make sure the safety handle is fully engaged.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel. Move them to the desired position to raise or lower the mower deck evenly.
Uneven cutting can be caused by incorrect wheel height settings, a dull blade, or obstructions on the mower deck. Check these areas and adjust or clean as necessary.
Change the oil after the first five hours of use, then every 25 hours or at the start of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Check the blade regularly for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blade if it is dull or nicked. Always disconnect the spark plug before servicing.
To clean the mower, ensure it is turned off and the spark plug is disconnected. Use a hose to wash away grass clippings and debris from the deck. Dry thoroughly to prevent rust.
Excessive vibration may indicate a loose blade or components. Check that the blade is securely fastened and inspect for damage. Tighten or replace as necessary.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure the air filter is clean, the blade is sharp, and the engine is well-maintained. Regular oil changes and using fresh fuel also help.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
