To start the Toro 21-inch 26620B Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the ignition key is inserted. Pull the starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Ensure the oil is API service classification SJ or higher.
Sharpen the mower blade after every 25 hours of use or if you notice uneven grass cutting. Always ensure the blade is balanced after sharpening.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. Clean or replace components as necessary and make sure the mower is on a level surface.
To clean the mower deck, disconnect the spark plug for safety, tilt the mower, and use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. Dry the deck thoroughly to prevent rust.
Remove the spark plug wire, use a socket wrench to remove the old spark plug, and install a new spark plug with the correct gap setting. Reconnect the spark plug wire securely.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade or debris lodged in the mower. Check and balance the blade and remove any debris from the deck.
Maintain the engine by regularly changing the oil, air filter, and spark plug. Keep the blade sharp and mow at recommended speeds for optimal fuel efficiency.
Before storing, clean the mower, change the oil, empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, and remove the battery if applicable. Store in a dry, sheltered location.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the adjustment levers on each wheel, and move them to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for uniform cutting.
