To start the Toro 21-inch 23307 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to the "Start" position, and the blade control lever is engaged. Then, pull the starter rope firmly.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and verify the air filter is clean. If issues persist, consult the user manual for troubleshooting tips.
Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace the blade as needed, typically after every 25 hours of use, to ensure a clean cut.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel and move them to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season.
Excessive vibration may be due to an unbalanced blade or loose components. Check and tighten any loose parts and ensure the blade is properly balanced.
To clean the mower deck, turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a brush or scraper to remove grass clippings and debris. Rinse with water and allow to dry completely.
Before storing, clean the mower, change the oil, and empty the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store in a dry, sheltered area to prevent rust and damage.
If the self-propel feature isn't working, check the drive belt and the drive control cable for wear or damage. Adjust or replace as necessary to restore function.
