Toro 21-inch 22187 Operator's Manual

To start the Toro 21-inch 22187 Mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to 'fast', and the blade control lever is engaged. Pull the starter handle with a firm, smooth motion.
Use SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 oil for optimal performance in temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For colder temperatures, SAE 5W-30 is recommended.
The mower blade should be sharpened at least once per mowing season or when you notice a decrease in cutting performance.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected and clean, verify that the air filter is not clogged, and make sure the throttle is in the correct position.
To clean the under deck, disconnect the spark plug wire, tip the mower on its side with the air filter facing up, and use a brush or hose to remove grass clippings and debris.
The air filter should be checked before each use and replaced every 25 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season.
Regular maintenance includes checking the engine oil before each use, changing the oil every 25 hours or annually, inspecting the air filter, and sharpening the blade once per season.
Adjust the cutting height by using the height adjustment levers located on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired height position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same level.
To winterize the mower, drain the fuel system, change the oil, clean the deck, and store it in a dry, covered location. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starting.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug with a socket wrench, and install a new one by hand before tightening it with the wrench. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
