To start the Toro 21-inch 22041 mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle lever is set to choke, pull the starter rope firmly, and then adjust the throttle to the desired speed after the engine starts.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and 10W-30 or 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C) for optimal performance of the Toro 21-inch 22041 mower.
Sharpen the mower blade after every 20-25 hours of use or whenever you notice uneven cutting or tearing of grass.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify the air filter is not clogged. Replace any damaged components if necessary.
Ensure the blade is sharp, the grass is dry, and the mower is set at the correct height. Overlap slightly on each pass to avoid uncut strips.
Conduct regular maintenance every 25 hours of use, including oil changes, air filter checks, blade sharpening, and spark plug inspection.
Adjust the cutting height by moving the wheel height adjustment levers located at each wheel to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height.
Check for a damaged or unbalanced blade, loose bolts, or debris caught in the blade area. Tighten any loose parts and clear any blockages.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris from the mower deck with a brush or hose. Ensure the mower is turned off and the spark plug wire is disconnected before cleaning.
Drain the fuel tank, change the oil, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry, sheltered area. Disconnect the spark plug wire to prevent accidental starts.
