Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired cutting height position. Adjust all four wheels to the same height setting for an even cut.
Check for debris or grass buildup around the blade area. Inspect the blade for damage or imbalance and replace or sharpen if necessary. Ensure all bolts are tightened.
Sharpen the blade after every 25 hours of use or as needed if the grass is not cutting cleanly. Always balance the blade after sharpening.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, clean the mower deck and blade, change the oil, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil to the cylinder, and store in a dry place.
Locate the air filter cover, remove it by unscrewing or unclipping, take out the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Make sure the filter is seated properly before securing the cover.
Check if the blade is dull or damaged and sharpen or replace it. Ensure the wheels are set to the same height and inspect the deck for any obstructions or damage.
Disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower on its side with the air filter facing up, and use a brush or hose to remove grass clippings and debris. Ensure the deck is dry before storing.
