To start the Toro 19-inch 16077 Mower, ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Press the primer bulb three times if the engine is cold. Pull the starter handle firmly to start the engine.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours of operation or at least once a year. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Ensure the blade is sharp and balanced. Check the tire pressure to make sure the mower is level. Adjust the cutting height if necessary.
After each use, remove grass clippings and debris from the mower deck using a brush or a hose. Make sure the engine is off and cool before cleaning.
Check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for damage and clean or replace it if necessary. Confirm the air filter is clean and not clogged.
To adjust the handle height, loosen the handle knobs on both sides, adjust the handle to the desired height, and then retighten the knobs securely.
Before storing the mower for winter, clean the mower deck, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil to the cylinder to prevent rust.
To replace the air filter, remove the cover by unscrewing the fasteners. Take out the old filter and replace it with a new one, ensuring it is seated correctly before reattaching the cover.
Always wear sturdy shoes and eye protection. Clear the mowing area of debris and keep hands and feet away from the mower deck while in operation. Never leave the mower unattended while it is running.
