To start your Toro mower, ensure the fuel valve is open, engage the choke if the engine is cold, and pull the starter handle firmly. Make sure the throttle is set to the "Fast" position.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected properly, verify the air filter is clean, and make sure all safety features are engaged. If issues persist, consult the manual or a professional technician.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 25 hours of operation or seasonally. Always use the oil type recommended in the manual.
Remove the blade carefully, secure it in a vice, and use a file or a sharpening tool to maintain the blade's original angle. Balance the blade before reinstalling it.
Ensure blades are sharp, adjust the cutting height appropriately, mow when the grass is dry, and maintain a steady pace while mowing. Regular maintenance is key.
Excessive vibration can be due to unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or debris stuck in the mower deck. Inspect and clean the deck, tighten all fasteners, and balance or replace the blades if necessary.
Stop the mower immediately, allow it to cool down, check for debris blocking the air intake or cooling fins, and ensure the oil level is adequate.
Clean the mower, change the oil, remove or stabilize the fuel, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry, sheltered place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and debris.
Regularly clean the deck to prevent grass buildup, check for rust, and ensure the deck is level. Lubricate any moving parts as specified in the manual.
Locate the height adjustment levers on each wheel, and move them to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
