To turn on the Sunbeam SFH8111 heater, plug it into an electrical outlet and rotate the power dial to the desired heat setting. Ensure the thermostat is adjusted to your preferred temperature.
If the heater does not turn on, check if it is properly plugged in and the outlet is functional. Ensure the power dial is turned to a heat setting. Also, check if the safety switch is properly engaged.
Unplug the heater and let it cool down completely. Use a soft cloth to wipe the exterior. For the interior, use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove any dust or debris from the vents.
Turn the thermostat dial to the left to decrease the temperature setting or to the right to increase it. The heater will maintain the room at the set temperature.
Ensure the heater is unplugged and completely cool. Clean the unit and wrap the cord around the built-in cord wrap. Store it in a dry place away from any potential damage.
Unusual noises may be due to dust accumulation or loose components. Turn off the heater, ensure it is cool, and clean it as per the instructions. If the noise persists, consider contacting customer support.
Keep the heater on a stable, level surface and away from combustible materials. Do not cover the heater and ensure it has ample space around it for air circulation. Use the heater under supervision.
The heater has a built-in safety feature that shuts it off if it overheats. Allow the heater to cool down and remove any obstructions. Ensure proper ventilation before restarting.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the heater as it can cause overheating and pose a fire hazard. Plug the heater directly into a wall outlet.
Unplug the heater and leave it unplugged for at least 10 minutes to reset the internal safety system. Plug it back in and try turning it on again.
