Sunbeam SFH457A Instructions Manual

To turn on the Sunbeam SFH457A heater, plug it into a wall outlet and use the power switch located at the front or side of the unit. Adjust the temperature control to your desired setting.
If the heater doesn't turn on, ensure it is plugged into a working outlet. Check if the power switch is on and the thermostat is set higher than the current room temperature. If it still doesn't work, inspect the power cord for damage or try a different outlet.
Before cleaning, turn off and unplug the heater. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Avoid using harsh chemicals or immersing the heater in water. Ensure the heater is completely dry before plugging it back in.
Some noise is normal due to the expansion and contraction of the heating elements. However, if the noise is excessive, check for debris in the fan or contact customer service for further assistance.
Regularly clean the heater every month during use and inspect the power cord for any damage. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Perform a detailed inspection at the beginning and end of each heating season.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the Sunbeam SFH457A, as it can pose a fire hazard. If necessary, use a heavy-duty extension cord rated for the heater's wattage.
The Sunbeam SFH457A includes an overheat protection feature, which will automatically shut off the heater if it overheats, and a tip-over switch that turns off the heater if it is accidentally knocked over.
If the heater shuts off due to overheating or being tipped over, first unplug it and allow it to cool down for at least 10 minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. Check for any obstructions that may have caused the shutdown.
To improve efficiency, ensure doors and windows are closed to retain heat. Use the heater in smaller rooms and keep it away from drafts. Regularly clean the heater to ensure optimal performance.
If there is a burning smell, turn off and unplug the heater immediately. Check for any visible signs of damage or debris on the heating elements. If the issue persists, contact customer service for help.
