To clean the steam vents, fill the water tank with a mixture of half water and half vinegar. Heat the iron and use the steam function over a sink to clear deposits. Then, rinse with clean water.
Ensure that the iron is plugged in and the power outlet is working. Check if the temperature dial is set correctly. If it still doesn't heat, the appliance may need servicing.
Use the correct temperature setting for each fabric type. Always refer to garment care labels before ironing. Regularly clean the soleplate to avoid residue buildup.
Allow the iron to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank, and store it in an upright position to prevent damage to the soleplate.
Fill the water tank with equal parts water and vinegar, heat the iron, then use the steam burst over a sink. Repeat with plain water to rinse.
Ensure the water tank is not overfilled and that the iron is not being used at a temperature setting lower than required for steaming.
Fill the water tank and heat the iron to the highest setting. Unplug, hold over a sink, and press the self-clean button. Shake gently to remove deposits.
The indicator lights display the status of the iron: heating up, ready for use, or auto-off activated. Refer to the manual for specific light codes.
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup, which can block steam vents and affect performance.
Check that there is enough water in the tank and the steam setting is correctly adjusted. If blocked, clean the steam vents as per the manual instructions.
