To start the generator, first ensure that the fuel valve is open and the engine switch is in the 'ON' position. Then, set the choke lever to the 'CLOSE' position if the engine is cold. Pull the recoil starter slowly until resistance is felt, then pull briskly. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'OPEN' position.
It is recommended to use SAE 10W-30 oil for the Subaru Robin RGV7500E Generator. For optimal performance, always use high-quality detergent oils classified as 'For Service SF, SG, SH, SJ' or higher.
The oil should be changed after the first 20 hours of operation, and subsequently every 100 hours or every six months, whichever comes first. Regular oil changes ensure the longevity and efficiency of the generator.
If the generator has fuel but won't start, check the spark plug for fouling or damage. Ensure the fuel valve is open and the choke is set correctly. Additionally, verify the air filter is clean and the engine switch is in the 'ON' position.
To maintain the air filter, inspect it regularly and clean it every 50 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Wash the foam filter element in warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry completely before applying a light coat of oil and reinstalling it.
If the generator runs but does not produce electricity, check the circuit breaker and reset it if necessary. Also, ensure all connections are secure, and examine the AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) for faults. If problems persist, consult a qualified technician.
For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and carburetor to prevent fuel-related issues. Change the oil, remove the spark plug, and pour a tablespoon of oil into the cylinder, then pull the recoil starter several times to distribute the oil. Store the generator in a dry, covered area.
Perform regular maintenance as follows: check the oil level before each use, clean the air filter every 50 hours, change the oil every 100 hours, and inspect the spark plug every 100 hours. Check the fuel system and overall condition every six months.
If the generator is overloading, reduce the load by unplugging non-essential devices. Ensure the total load does not exceed the generator's rated output. Regularly check the generator's wattage output and distribution to prevent overloading.
Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Keep it dry and never use it in wet conditions. Ensure the generator is on a stable surface and keep flammable materials away. Follow all manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
