Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each season, whichever comes first.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly balanced. Check for any debris buildup under the deck and confirm the deck is level. Adjust the cutting speed if necessary.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, and change the oil. Store the tractor in a dry, sheltered place and disconnect the battery.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and ensure it contains no more than 10% ethanol.
Consider using tire chains or weights to improve traction. Ensure tires are properly inflated as per the manufacturer's recommendation.
After each use, clean the mower deck to prevent grass buildup, check for loose parts, and inspect the blades for damage or dullness.
Locate the air filter cover, remove it, and take out the filter. Inspect the filter for dirt or damage and clean or replace it if necessary.
Check for unbalanced or damaged blades, ensure all screws and bolts are tightened, and inspect the drive belts for wear or damage.
