To change the oil, first warm up the engine, then turn it off and disconnect the spark plug. Place a container under the oil drain valve, open the valve, and allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the drain cap and refill with the recommended oil type and amount.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of at least 87. Avoid using gasohol or gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery charge and connections, ensure the fuel tank has fresh fuel, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and verify that the air filter is clean.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 14 psi, and for the rear tires, it is 10 psi. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cool.
To replace the blades, first ensure the tractor is off and parked on a flat surface. Use a block to prevent the blades from rotating, then remove the blade bolts. Install the new blades, ensuring they are properly aligned, and securely tighten the bolts.
If the engine overheats, turn it off immediately and allow it to cool. Check for debris blocking the air intake or cooling fins, ensure the oil level is correct, and verify that the cooling system is functioning properly.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 25 hours of operation or at least once a season. This includes checking the oil, air filter, spark plug, and belts, as well as lubricating all moving parts.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, drain the fuel system or add a fuel stabilizer, remove and charge the battery, and store the tractor in a dry, covered location.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is in the 'on' position. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage, and ensure it is properly tensioned. Also, check the electrical connections to the clutch.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position, ensuring it locks into place for consistent mowing.
