Ensure the tractor is in neutral, engage the parking brake, turn the ignition key to the start position, and allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before use.
Check the battery connections, ensure there is enough fuel, inspect the spark plugs, and make sure the seat safety switch is engaged.
The oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation or at the start of each season, whichever comes first.
Use SAE 30 motor oil for general operation, or consult the manual for oil recommendations specific to your climate conditions.
Check the blades regularly for sharpness and damage. Sharpen or replace them annually or as needed for optimal performance.
Inspect the deck for debris, ensure the blades are balanced, and check that all bolts and connections are secure.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the seat to set the desired mowing height, ensuring the tractor is on a level surface.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage, ensure the transmission fluid is at the correct level, and inspect the linkage for proper adjustment.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with compressed air or replace it if it is excessively dirty or damaged.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting and cleaning the air filter, sharpening blades, lubricating moving parts, and checking tire pressure.
