To connect the Shure AXT651 Microphone to a wireless system, ensure that the microphone is paired with a compatible Axient Digital Wireless Transmitter. Turn on both devices and use the transmitter's menu to perform a frequency scan and select a channel.
Check that the microphone is securely connected to the transmitter and that the transmitter is powered on. Verify that the gain settings are correct and that the mute function is not activated. If the problem persists, test with another microphone to isolate the issue.
To reduce feedback, position the microphone away from speakers, lower the gain, and use EQ settings to cut frequencies that are prone to feedback. Additionally, using directional microphones can help minimize feedback.
Regularly clean the microphone grille with a soft brush and inspect the connections for corrosion. Store the microphone in a dry place and ensure batteries are removed when not in use to prevent leakage.
To change the microphone capsule, gently unscrew the existing capsule by turning it counterclockwise. Align the new capsule and screw it on clockwise until it is securely attached. Ensure compatibility with the AXT651 model.
Store the microphone in a protective case in a cool, dry environment. Ensure the microphone is free from dust and moisture to prevent damage. Avoid exposing the microphone to extreme temperatures.
Intermittent audio dropout can be caused by RF interference or low battery levels. Ensure the microphone and receiver are on compatible frequencies, and check that the battery is fully charged. Avoid obstructions between the microphone and receiver.
Improve range by ensuring a clear line of sight between the microphone and receiver, minimizing physical barriers. Use higher power settings if available and consider using external antennas for extended range.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the microphone body. For the grille, a damp cloth with mild soap can be used, but ensure it is completely dry before reattaching. Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging in water.
Firmware updates for the AXT651 are typically conducted via the wireless transmitter. Connect the transmitter to a computer with the Shure Update Utility installed, and follow the on-screen instructions to update.
