To pair your brake lever with the rear derailleur, ensure both components are turned on. Press the button on the lever until the LED starts flashing. Then, press the button on the rear derailleur until its LED also flashes. The devices should pair automatically.
Check the alignment of your derailleur hanger and ensure it is not bent. Also, verify that the firmware is up to date using the E-Tube Project software. Perform a micro-adjustment if necessary to fine-tune the shifting.
Download the Shimano E-Tube Project app on your smartphone or computer. Connect your Di2 system via Bluetooth or PC link device. Navigate to the shifting settings where you can customize multi-shift, shift speed, and button functions.
To reset the system, press and hold the button on the junction box until the red LED turns off. This can resolve minor glitches and restore normal operation.
Connect the charging cable to the junction box and plug it into a USB power source. Ensure the connectors are secure and charge the battery fully before use. Charging typically takes 1.5 to 3 hours.
Regularly inspect the lever for dirt and debris. Clean it with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Ensure the brake fluid is at the correct level and replace it as recommended by Shimano for consistent performance.
Check the hydraulic fluid levels and bleed the brakes if necessary. Inspect for any leaks in the system. If the problem persists, consult a professional bike mechanic.
The ST-R9270-L is compatible with 12-speed systems. While it may work with some older components, it is recommended to use it with the latest Di2 components for best performance and compatibility.
Use the Shimano E-Tube Project app on your smartphone or PC. Connect your components wirelessly or via a PC link device. Follow the app instructions to check for updates and apply them as necessary.
If your system frequently loses charge quickly or shifts inconsistently, it may be time to replace the battery. Check the battery health status using the E-Tube Project app for confirmation.
