To set up your Shark IQ Robot RV1000AE, first connect the charging dock to a power source and place it on a flat surface. Ensure there is enough space around the dock. Then, place the robot on the dock to charge. Download the SharkClean app, create an account, and follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to Wi-Fi.
If your Shark IQ Robot RV1000AE is not connecting to Wi-Fi, make sure your network is 2.4GHz, as the robot does not support 5GHz networks. Restart your router and ensure your phone is connected to the same network. Try moving the robot closer to the router during setup.
To clean the dustbin, remove it from the robot and empty the contents. Rinse the dustbin with water and let it dry completely. For the filters, remove them from the dustbin, tap off excess dust, and rinse under water. Allow them to dry for 24 hours before reinserting.
To improve mapping, ensure the robot has a clear path throughout the cleaning area. Remove obstacles and tidy up cords. Schedule a full home cleaning so the robot can map the entire floor. Avoid moving the charging dock during mapping sessions.
If the robot gets stuck often, check for and remove any obstacles like cables, rugs, or furniture that might be in its path. Use boundary strips to block off problematic areas, and ensure the robot's sensors are clean and unobstructed.
To schedule cleanings, open the SharkClean app and select your robot. Navigate to the scheduling section and choose the days and times you want the robot to clean. Save the schedule, and the robot will automatically start cleaning at the specified times.
The robot may return to the dock if the battery is low. Once charged, it will resume cleaning from where it left off. If this happens frequently, check for any obstacles in its path or consider resetting the map to ensure efficient navigation.
To perform a factory reset, press and hold both the 'Dock' and 'Clean' buttons on the robot for 10 seconds. Release the buttons when you hear a beep. This will reset the robot to its original settings, and you will need to set it up again via the app.
Regular maintenance includes emptying the dustbin, cleaning the filters, and inspecting the brushes for debris. Clean the sensors and charging contacts with a dry cloth. Replace filters and brushes as recommended in the user manual to maintain optimal performance.
To update the firmware, ensure the robot is connected to Wi-Fi and charging on the dock. Open the SharkClean app, which will notify you if an update is available. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
