To set up your Shark IQ Robot AV993, first remove all packaging materials. Charge the robot fully by placing it on the charging dock. Download the SharkClean app and follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to Wi-Fi and begin cleaning.
Ensure the charging dock is plugged into a working outlet. Check that the charging contacts on both the robot and dock are clean. Place the robot correctly on the dock. If problems persist, reboot the robot by holding the power button for 10 seconds.
To clean the brushroll, turn off the robot and flip it over. Remove the brushroll cover, then take out the brushroll. Clear any debris or hair wrapped around it. Reinstall the brushroll and cover before using the robot again.
Check for obstacles or cords in the cleaning path and remove them. Ensure the robot's path is clear of clutter. Consider using boundary strips to block off areas where the robot frequently gets stuck.
Open the SharkClean app and go to the scheduling section. Set the desired days and times for the robot to clean. Save the schedule, and the robot will automatically start cleaning at the specified times.
Ensure your Wi-Fi is working and the robot is within range. Check that the Wi-Fi password is correct. Restart the router and the robot, then try reconnecting through the SharkClean app.
Remove the dustbin and take out the filter. Rinse the filter under water to remove dust and debris. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting it into the robot. Replace the filter every three months for optimal performance.
Empty the dustbin and clean the filters. Check for obstructions in the brushroll and suction inlet. Make sure the robot is not set to a low power mode. Perform a factory reset if the issue persists.
Connect the robot to Wi-Fi and open the SharkClean app. If a firmware update is available, you'll receive a notification. Follow the instructions in the app to install the update and keep the robot on the dock during the process.
Store the robot on its charging dock to ensure the battery remains charged. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing it in a damp or humid environment.
