Ensure the iron is unplugged and set the steam control to '0'. Open the water tank cover, and fill it with water using the provided filling cup, making sure not to exceed the 'MAX' line.
To clean the soleplate, let the iron cool completely. Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge using mild dish soap if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
Check if the water tank is empty and refill if needed. Ensure the temperature setting is appropriate for steam. If the problem persists, perform a self-clean to clear any mineral deposits.
Fill the water tank halfway, turn the iron to its highest setting, and allow it to heat up. Once heated, unplug the iron and hold it over a sink. Activate the self-clean button, allowing water and steam to exit the soleplate. Shake gently to remove deposits.
Ensure the iron is not overfilled and that the steam control is set correctly for the fabric type. If leaking persists, empty the water and check for any damage to the water tank or seals.
Use the anti-drip feature by ensuring the iron is set to a suitable temperature for steam. Avoid storing the iron with water in the tank.
Shark recommends using distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup. If using tap water, perform regular self-cleaning to maintain performance.
Ensure the iron is unplugged, emptied of water, and completely cooled. Store it on its heel in a dry and safe place. Avoid wrapping the cord tightly around the iron.
Regularly use the self-clean function to prevent scale buildup. If necessary, use a descaling solution recommended for irons, following the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
The iron is equipped with an auto-shutoff feature for safety. It will turn off after a period of inactivity. Move the iron to reactivate it.
