Shark GI405Z Owner's Guide

To fill the Shark GI405Z Iron with water, ensure the iron is unplugged and cool. Open the water tank cover, use the provided filling cup, and pour water into the tank up to the maximum fill line. Close the cover securely before use.
If the iron is not heating up, check if it is properly plugged in and the power outlet is functioning. Ensure the temperature dial is set to the desired heat level. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact Shark customer support.
To clean the soleplate, unplug the iron and let it cool completely. Use a damp cloth with a mild detergent to wipe the soleplate. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage the surface. For stubborn residue, use a nylon scrub pad gently.
To prevent water leakage, avoid overfilling the water tank. Ensure the iron is set to the correct temperature for steaming and the tank cover is firmly closed. Keep the iron in an upright position when not in use.
To use the steam burst feature, fill the water tank, select the steam setting, and allow the iron to heat up. Press the steam burst button intermittently for powerful steam bursts to remove stubborn wrinkles.
If little or no steam is being produced, ensure the water tank is filled, and the temperature is set to a steam-compatible level. Check for any clogs in the steam vents and clean them if necessary.
Descale the Shark GI405Z Iron every 1-2 months, depending on the hardness of your water. Use the self-clean function or a vinegar solution to remove mineral deposits from the iron's steam vents and tank.
You can use tap water in your Shark GI405Z Iron, but if you have hard water, it's recommended to mix it with distilled water to reduce mineral buildup and prolong the iron's life.
The Shark GI405Z Iron is equipped with an auto shut-off feature that turns the iron off if left idle for a certain period. It also has an anti-drip function to prevent water leaks when the iron is not hot enough for steaming.
After use, unplug the iron and let it cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron upright on its heel, and wrap the cord loosely around the base to prevent damage.
