To set up your Shark EZ Robot RV900, start by placing the charging dock on a flat surface with ample space around it. Plug the dock into a power outlet and place the vacuum on the dock to charge. Download the SharkClean app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the robot to your Wi-Fi network.
Ensure that the charging dock is plugged in and the power indicator is lit. Check that the vacuum is properly aligned with the charging contacts on the dock. Clean the charging contacts if they appear dirty. If the issue persists, try plugging the dock into a different outlet.
Open the SharkClean app and select your robot. Go to settings and choose "Wi-Fi Settings". Follow the prompts to connect the robot to the new Wi-Fi network. Make sure your phone is connected to the same network during the process.
Regularly empty the dustbin and clean the filters to maintain suction power. Check the brushes and wheels for hair or debris and remove any obstructions. Inspect the sensors and charging contacts, and clean them with a dry cloth.
Use the SharkClean app to schedule cleaning sessions. Open the app, select your robot, and navigate to the scheduling section. Set the desired days and times for the vacuum to clean automatically.
Remove any obstacles from the cleaning area and ensure that rugs or cables are secured. If the robot frequently gets stuck in certain areas, consider using boundary strips to restrict access.
To reset the Shark EZ Robot RV900, remove it from the charging dock and press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the robot beeps. This will restore the vacuum to its factory settings.
Ensure that the dock is placed in an open area with no obstacles within a 3-foot radius. Clean the sensors on the robot to ensure they are not obstructed by dust or debris. Consider relocating the dock to a more accessible location.
Turn the robot upside down and remove the main brush by pressing the tabs on the brush guard. Use a pair of scissors to cut away any hair or string wrapped around the brush. Reinstall the brush by aligning it with the slots and snapping the guard back into place.
A flashing red light usually indicates that there is an error. Check the SharkClean app for detailed error messages. Common issues include a full dustbin, brushes being blocked, or sensors requiring cleaning. Address the issue as instructed in the app.
