To set the temperature, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator compartment. Adjust the temperature using the digital display. For optimal performance, set the refrigerator to 4°C and the freezer to -18°C.
Ensure that the refrigerator is plugged in and the power outlet is functional. Check if the door seals are clean and intact. Make sure the temperature settings are correct. If the problem persists, consult the manual or contact customer support.
The Severin KGK 8956 is equipped with a No-Frost system, which eliminates the need for manual defrosting. However, it is advisable to check and clean the freezer compartment periodically to ensure optimal performance.
Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. Use a mild detergent and warm water to clean the interior and exterior surfaces. Avoid using abrasive cleaners. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth before plugging it back in.
To replace the light bulb, unplug the refrigerator, remove the light cover by unscrewing it, and replace the old bulb with a new one of the same type and wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the refrigerator back in.
Unusual noises can be caused by the refrigerator being uneven on the floor, items inside vibrating, or the compressor working harder due to a high ambient temperature. Ensure the refrigerator is level and clear any items that may cause vibrations.
To reset the alarm, press the alarm reset button on the control panel. If the alarm persists, check for any issues such as an open door or temperature fluctuations.
It is not recommended to store hot food directly in the refrigerator as it can raise the internal temperature and affect cooling efficiency. Allow food to cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
Check the drainage hole at the back of the refrigerator to ensure it is not blocked. Clean it with a soft brush or a pipe cleaner. Also, ensure that the refrigerator door seals are intact and functioning properly.
Ensure the refrigerator is placed away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Maintain adequate space around the appliance for ventilation. Keep the door closed as much as possible and check seals regularly for wear.
