To change the temperature settings, locate the control panel inside the refrigerator compartment. Use the digital display to adjust the temperature by pressing the "+" or "-" buttons until the desired temperature is displayed.
First, check if the refrigerator is plugged in and the power is on. Ensure that the temperature settings are correct. If the issue persists, clean the condenser coils, check the door seals for any gaps, and ensure that there is adequate ventilation around the unit.
The Severin FRD 8994 is a frost-free model, meaning it doesn't require manual defrosting. However, if you notice ice buildup, check the door seals and ensure the door is closing properly.
To clean the interior, unplug the refrigerator and remove all food items. Use a solution of mild detergent and warm water to wipe down the interior surfaces. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly with a towel before plugging it back in.
Unplug the refrigerator from the power source. Locate the light bulb cover inside the fridge, unscrew it, and remove the old bulb. Replace it with a new bulb of the same type and wattage, then screw the cover back on.
Ensure that the refrigerator is level and stable. Check for any loose items inside that might be vibrating. If the noise persists, it could be due to the compressor or fan, and you may need to contact a service technician.
Ensure the refrigerator is placed in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep the door seals clean and ensure they close properly. Minimize the frequency and duration of door openings.
Check if the defrost drain is clogged and clear it if necessary. Make sure the refrigerator is level to prevent water from pooling. Also, inspect the water supply line for any leaks if you have an ice maker or water dispenser.
After a power outage, simply plug the refrigerator back in and wait for it to start cooling again. If there are any error codes on the display, refer to the user manual for specific reset instructions.
It is not recommended to store hot food directly in the refrigerator as it can raise the internal temperature and affect cooling efficiency. Let hot food cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
