To descale the Sencor SHS 0910GD iron, fill the water tank with a mixture of equal parts water and white vinegar. Heat the iron and use the steam function to release the mixture through the steam vents. Repeat with clean water to rinse.
If the iron is not heating up, check that it is plugged in and the power switch is turned on. Ensure the temperature dial is set to the desired setting. If it still doesn’t heat, consult the user manual or contact customer service.
To prevent water leakage, avoid overfilling the water tank and ensure the iron is not used horizontally while filled with water. Always use the steam function at the recommended temperature setting.
To clean the soleplate, unplug the iron and let it cool. Use a damp cloth with mild detergent to wipe the surface. For stubborn stains, use a paste of baking soda and water, then wipe clean.
Regular maintenance is recommended every 3 months, including descaling and cleaning of the soleplate. Frequency may increase if used frequently with hard water.
The Sencor SHS 0910GD iron can be used on cotton, linen, wool, silk, and synthetic fabrics. Always check the garment care label and adjust the temperature setting accordingly.
You can use tap water, but for best results and to reduce scale buildup, it is advisable to use distilled or demineralized water.
A burning smell can occur if the iron is used with residues on the soleplate. Ensure the plate is clean, and avoid leaving the iron on fabrics for extended periods. If the smell persists, contact customer support.
Allow the iron to cool completely before storing. Empty the water tank, wrap the cord loosely around the base, and store the iron in an upright position to prevent damage.
Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature is set to a steam-compatible setting. If steam still isn't produced, check for clogs in the steam vents and clean if necessary.
