To change the drill bit, ensure the drill is unplugged, then rotate the chuck counterclockwise to loosen it. Insert the new bit and tighten by turning the chuck clockwise.
Check if the power cord is properly plugged in and the power switch is in the 'on' position. If the drill still doesn't start, inspect the fuse or circuit breaker.
Regularly clean the drill and lubricate moving parts. Check for loose screws and tighten them. Store the drill in a dry place to prevent rust.
Use a masonry bit and set the drill to its highest torque setting. Apply steady pressure and periodically withdraw the bit to clear debris.
The speed can be adjusted by turning the variable speed dial located on the top of the drill. Choose the speed according to the material you are drilling.
Stop using the drill immediately and allow it to cool down. Check for any obstructions in the ventilation slots and clear them. Reduce workload and use intermittent drilling to prevent overheating.
Inspect the carbon brushes every 50 hours of use. Replace them if they are worn down to around 6mm in length.
The maximum drill bit size for the Scheppach TBT19Vario is 13mm for steel and 30mm for wood.
Use a center punch to mark the drilling location. Secure the material firmly, and ensure the drill is perpendicular to the surface. Use the depth stop feature for consistent depth.
Apply a few drops of penetrating oil to the chuck and let it sit for a few minutes. Use a strap wrench to gently turn the chuck counterclockwise. If the problem persists, consult a technician.
