To start the lawn mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Set the throttle lever to the 'Start' position, pull the recoil starter handle gently until you feel resistance, then pull it briskly to start the engine.
Check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Verify that the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Check the air filter for clogs and clean or replace it if necessary.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever near the wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and inspecting the spark plug. Follow the manufacturer’s manual for specific intervals.
Ensure the engine is off and cool. Disconnect the spark plug. Use a hose to wash off grass clippings from the deck and dry it thoroughly to prevent rust. Avoid using high-pressure water to prevent damage.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced blade or debris lodged in the blade area. Check the blade for damage and balance, and remove any debris. Tighten any loose bolts.
Regularly sharpen the blades, ensure the deck is clean, and maintain the correct engine speed. Also, mow when the grass is dry for better results.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for optimal performance.
Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, clean the mower thoroughly, and store it in a dry place. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
