To start the Scheppach IGT2500 generator, first ensure the fuel valve is open. Set the choke lever to the 'start' position, turn the engine switch to 'on', and then pull the recoil starter handle firmly. Once the engine starts, gradually move the choke lever to the 'run' position.
It is recommended to use SAE 10W-30 oil for the Scheppach IGT2500 generator. Ensure that the oil is suitable for the temperature conditions in your area.
Regular maintenance should be performed after every 50 hours of use or once a month, whichever comes first. This includes checking the oil level, air filter, and spark plug, as well as cleaning the exterior.
If the generator won't start, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify that the spark plug is in good condition and properly connected. Also, make sure the choke is set correctly and the oil level is adequate.
To store the generator safely, first drain the fuel tank and run the carburetor dry. Clean the generator thoroughly and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area. Cover the generator to protect it from dust and moisture.
To change the oil, start by running the engine for a few minutes to warm it up. Turn off the generator and remove the oil filler cap. Place a container under the oil drain plug, remove the plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the plug, and refill with new oil through the oil filler opening.
Ensure the generator is on a level surface and all appliances are turned off. Connect the appliances to the generator using appropriate extension cords. Turn on the generator, and then switch on the appliances one by one, starting with the largest load.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover and take out the air filter element. Wash the filter element in soapy water, rinse, and allow it to dry completely. Reinstall the filter element and cover once dry.
Signs that the spark plug needs replacement include difficulty starting the generator, misfiring, reduced power output, and increased fuel consumption. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace it if necessary.
The generator should not be used in wet conditions as it can lead to electrical shock or damage the generator. Always operate the generator in a dry, sheltered area, away from rain or moisture.
