To change the blade on the Scheppach HS115, first ensure the saw is unplugged. Remove the blade guard, then use the provided wrench to loosen the arbor nut. Carefully remove the old blade and replace it with a new one, ensuring the teeth are facing the correct direction. Tighten the arbor nut and replace the blade guard before using the saw.
If the saw is not starting, first check that it is properly plugged in and that the power outlet is functional. Ensure all safety switches and mechanisms are engaged correctly. If the problem persists, check the fuse in the plug and replace it if necessary. For further issues, consult the manual or contact customer support.
To ensure accurate cuts, regularly check and calibrate the saw's alignment. Use a square to verify that the blade is perpendicular to the table. Adjust the fence to ensure it is parallel to the blade, and use a sharp blade to minimize deviations. Always secure the material firmly before cutting.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the sawdust from the machine, checking the blade for sharpness and replacing it when necessary, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting the power cord for any damage. Periodically check all screws and bolts for tightness.
Adjust the cutting depth by loosening the depth adjustment lever located on the side of the saw. Move the saw body up or down to the desired depth and then tighten the lever to secure the position. Always check the depth with a test cut before proceeding with your work.
The Scheppach HS115 has a maximum cutting capacity of approximately 80mm at 90 degrees and 55mm at 45 degrees. Ensure the material does not exceed these dimensions to maintain safety and prevent overloading the saw.
If the blade is not cutting straight, it may be due to misalignment of the fence or blade, a dull blade, or uneven pressure applied during cutting. Check and adjust these components, and ensure the material is fed consistently through the saw.
To replace the carbon brushes, first unplug the saw. Locate the brush caps on the sides of the motor, unscrew them, and remove the old brushes. Insert new brushes, ensuring they are seated correctly, and replace the brush caps. Test the saw to ensure it operates smoothly.
The Scheppach HS115 is primarily designed for woodworking. Cutting metal requires a specialized blade and can lead to excessive wear or damage to the saw. For metal cutting, use a saw specifically designed for that purpose.
Always wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from debris. Use ear protection to guard against noise, and wear gloves to protect your hands. Ensure loose clothing and long hair are secured to prevent entanglement in the saw.
