Ensure the fuel tank is filled with the correct fuel. Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position, set the choke to "CLOSED" if the engine is cold, and pull the starter grip until the engine starts. Once started, gradually move the choke to the "OPEN" position.
Regular maintenance includes checking the engine oil level, inspecting the air filter, cleaning or replacing the spark plug, and checking the belt tension. Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of use, then every 50 hours thereafter.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Ensure the choke is in the correct position for starting. Additionally, check the air filter for clogs and clean if necessary.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including ear protection and gloves. Ensure the working area is clear of debris and bystanders. Never operate the compactor on a slope greater than 20 degrees.
Turn off the engine and allow it to cool. Secure the compactor on a stable platform using straps or chains to prevent movement during transport. Keep the fuel valve closed and the choke in the "OFF" position.
Check if the compactor is on a stable surface and not on a slope. Inspect the base plate and the exciter for any visible damage or looseness. Tighten any loose bolts and ensure the shock mounts are intact.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. If it's a foam filter, wash it with mild detergent and water, then allow it to dry completely. If it's a paper filter, tap it gently to remove debris or replace it if it's too dirty.
Check the belt for proper tension and wear. If the belt is loose or worn out, adjust the tension or replace it as needed. Ensure the exciter is functioning properly and the base plate is not obstructed.
Ensure all components are securely fastened and the engine is well-maintained to minimize noise. Use ear protection during operation to protect your hearing from inevitable noise.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
