The correct fuel mixture is 40:1 ratio of unleaded petrol to 2-stroke engine oil.
To start the brush cutter, ensure the fuel tank is filled with the correct fuel mixture, set the choke to the closed position, press the primer bulb 5-6 times, and then pull the starter cord briskly until the engine starts.
Check the fuel mixture, inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the choke is set correctly.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 10 hours of operation and replaced if it shows signs of wear or damage.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced cutting attachment, loose parts, or worn-out engine mounts. Inspect these components and tighten or replace them as necessary.
Regularly inspect the cutting blade for damage or dullness. Sharpen the blade using a file or grinding tool as needed, and replace it if it is excessively worn or damaged.
To adjust the idle speed, locate the idle adjustment screw on the carburetor and turn it clockwise to increase the speed or counterclockwise to decrease it until the engine idles smoothly.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders and obstacles.
To replace the trimmer line, first ensure the engine is off. Remove the trimmer head cover, take out any remaining line, and wind new line onto the spool according to the direction indicated. Reattach the cover securely.
Signs that the spark plug may need replacement include difficulty starting the engine, poor engine performance, and visible wear or fouling on the spark plug electrode.
