Ensure the compressor is placed on a stable surface. Connect the air hose to the compressor outlet, attach the desired tool, and plug the compressor into a suitable power outlet. Check the oil level and ensure it's adequate before turning it on.
Perform a visual inspection before each use, check the oil level weekly, and clean the air filter every month. Drain the air tank after each use to prevent moisture buildup.
Check the power supply and ensure the compressor is plugged in. Verify that the pressure switch is working and reset any tripped circuit breakers. Inspect for blown fuses and replace them if necessary.
Check for leaks in the air hose and connections. Ensure the drain valve is closed. Inspect the pressure switch and the safety valve for any faults or blockages.
Turn off the compressor and unplug it. Allow it to cool, then remove the oil drain plug and let the old oil drain into a suitable container. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Use a compressor-specific oil, typically SAE 30 non-detergent oil, to ensure proper lubrication and performance.
Place the compressor on a vibration-absorbing mat, ensure all connections are tight, and consider using an extension hose to keep the compressor away from the work area.
Turn off the compressor immediately and allow it to cool. Check for blocked air vents and remove any obstructions. Ensure the ambient temperature is not too high and the compressor is not overloaded.
Ensure the compressor is turned off and unplugged. Drain the air tank completely and secure all loose components. Use the handle for lifting and keep the compressor upright during transport.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Clean it using compressed air or replace it if necessary. Reinstall the filter and cover before resuming use.
