Ensure the chainsaw is on a flat surface. Engage the chain brake, move the choke to the full position, and pull the starter cord until the engine fires. Then, move the choke to the half position and pull the starter cord again until the engine runs.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality two-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 40:1. Ensure the mixture is thoroughly combined before refueling.
Sharpen the chain every time you refill the fuel tank or whenever you notice a decrease in cutting efficiency. Use a round file suitable for the chain size.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel mixture is correct. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling, and clean or replace it if necessary. Confirm that the choke is in the correct position.
Loosen the bar nuts slightly, then use the tensioning screw to adjust the chain tension so that it fits snugly against the bar but can still be moved by hand. Tighten the bar nuts securely.
Regularly clean the air filter, check and tighten the chain, inspect the spark plug, and ensure the bar and chain are properly lubricated. Check for any loose screws or damaged parts.
Ensure the chain is properly tensioned before use, and regularly check it during operation. Avoid cutting with the tip of the bar, and ensure the chain brake is functioning correctly.
Always wear protective gear, including gloves, goggles, and ear protection. Ensure a firm grip on the chainsaw, and maintain a stable stance. Be aware of your surroundings and avoid cutting above shoulder height.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the air filter, and gently clean it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Check the chain for proper tension and sharpness. Ensure that the guide bar is straight and not worn unevenly. Sharpen or replace the chain if necessary.
