To change the blade, first disconnect the saw from the power supply. Loosen the blade tensioning knob, remove the blade guard, and carefully remove the old blade. Install the new blade ensuring the teeth face forward, replace the blade guard, and adjust the tensioning knob to secure the blade.
First, ensure the saw is connected to a working power outlet. Check the fuse or circuit breaker. Inspect the power cord for damage. If the saw still does not start, consult a qualified technician as the motor may need servicing.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the saw after each use, checking and tightening any loose screws, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting the blade for wear. Regularly check the alignment and tension of the blade.
To adjust the cutting depth, locate the depth adjustment lever or knob on the saw. Loosen it to raise or lower the blade to the desired depth, then retighten to secure the blade in place.
Always wear safety goggles and hearing protection. Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit. Keep hands away from the cutting area and never touch the blade while it's moving. Disconnect the saw from power before changing accessories.
A blade that does not cut straight may be due to improper tension, a dull blade, or misalignment. Check the blade tension and alignment, and replace the blade if it is worn or damaged.
The PBS 350 A1 is primarily designed for wood and similar materials. Cutting metal is not recommended unless specified by the manufacturer and using the appropriate blade designed for metal.
Excessive vibration can result from an unbalanced blade, loose components, or improper mounting of the saw. Ensure the blade is properly installed and balanced, and check that all screws and mounts are secure.
For accurate cuts, ensure the workpiece is securely clamped, use a guide or fence when possible, and maintain a steady feed rate. Regularly check the alignment of the blade and fence.
The recommended blade tension varies depending on the material and blade used. As a general rule, the blade should not deflect more than 1/4 inch when pressed. Refer to the user manual for specific tension settings.
