To start the McCulloch PRE6556 lawn mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Press the primer bulb 3-5 times, pull the choke lever to the start position, and then pull the starter rope briskly.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C) in the McCulloch PRE6556 lawn mower.
It is recommended to sharpen the blades of the McCulloch PRE6556 lawn mower at least once a year or after every 25 hours of use to maintain optimal performance.
If the McCulloch PRE6556 won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, verify the choke is in the correct position, and inspect the air filter for clogs.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover, take out the filter, and gently wash it with warm soapy water. Let it dry completely before reinstalling. Replace if it is excessively dirty or damaged.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Perform regular maintenance such as oil changes every 25 hours of use, air filter cleaning every 10 hours, and spark plug replacement annually or every 100 hours.
To drain the oil, run the engine for a few minutes to warm up the oil, then disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower on its side with the air filter and carburetor facing up. Remove the oil cap and allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged blade or loose parts. Inspect and tighten any loose components and check the blade for damage, replacing it if necessary.
Before storing, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, remove fuel, and disconnect the spark plug. Store it in a dry, cool place to prevent rust and ensure longevity.
