Ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Pull the start cord firmly while holding the safety lever.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and connected, and verify the air filter is not clogged.
Change the oil after every 25 hours of use or at least once per mowing season.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid fuel with more than 10% ethanol.
Disconnect the spark plug, remove the blade, and sharpen it using a file or a grinder, maintaining the original angle. Balance the blade before reinstallation.
Inspect the blade for damage or imbalance, check for loose bolts, and ensure the engine mounting bolts are tight.
Remove grass clippings from the deck and wheels. Use a hose to rinse the undercarriage, but avoid getting water into the engine.
Perform oil changes every 25 hours, clean or replace the air filter every season, and inspect spark plugs annually. Sharpen the blade and clean the mower after each use.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the wheels to set the desired cutting height. Ensure all wheels are set at the same level.
Immediately turn off the mower, check for oil leaks, and ensure the air filter is clean. If the problem persists, consult a professional.
