To start the McCulloch M55T53HW Lawn Mower, ensure the fuel tank is filled, the oil level is adequate, and the spark plug is connected. Pull the starter cord firmly while holding the safety lever against the handle.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected, and verify that the air filter is not clogged. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a technician.
The oil should be changed after the first 5 hours of operation, and every 25 hours thereafter, or at the start of each mowing season.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline containing more than 10% ethanol.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the levers to the desired position to set the cutting height uniformly.
Check for debris lodged in the blades, ensure the blades are sharp and balanced, and inspect the mower for any loose parts. Tighten any loose bolts or screws.
After ensuring the mower is off and cool, use a garden hose to rinse the underside of the deck. Avoid directing water at the engine. For stubborn debris, use a brush or scraper.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening the blades, and inspecting the spark plug. Conduct maintenance at specified intervals as outlined in the user manual.
Ensure the tire pressure is even and appropriate. Adjust the cutting height to accommodate the terrain, and mow slowly to ensure an even cut.
Clean the mower thoroughly, empty the fuel tank, and change the oil. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered place, and cover it to protect it from dust.
