To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting height uniformly.
Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify the spark plug is not dirty or damaged, and make sure the ignition switch is turned on.
Ensure the blade is sharp and clean the deck to prevent grass buildup. Mow at a slower pace and increase the cutting height to prevent the mower from clogging.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower on its side, and use a hose to wash away grass clippings. Scrape off any remaining debris with a brush or plastic scraper.
Disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower, use a wrench to remove the blade bolt, replace the old blade with a new one, and securely tighten the bolt.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, empty the fuel tank, and store it in a dry place. Consider removing the battery if applicable.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage, ensure the drive cable is properly connected and not broken, and inspect the wheels for obstructions.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Regularly sharpen the mower blade, adjust the cutting height appropriately, and mow when grass is dry. Ensure the engine is running at full throttle.
