Ensure the mower is on a flat surface, engage the parking brake, set the throttle to the choke position, and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using fuel with more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at the start of each mowing season.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter, and make sure the battery is charged.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on each wheel, and move the lever to the desired height setting.
Regularly check the oil, clean or replace the air filter, inspect the spark plug, and sharpen the blades as needed.
Use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris, and clean under the deck with a scraper if necessary.
Excessive vibration could be due to an unbalanced blade, loose components, or debris lodged in the mower deck.
Refer to the user manual for step-by-step instructions, ensuring the mower is off and the spark plug is disconnected before starting.
Wear appropriate protective gear, clear the mowing area of debris, and never refuel the mower while the engine is hot.
